The material

Every autumn the leaves fall to the ground and are constantly thrown away in our cities. However this is not the end, but the beginning of a new life. Out of autumn “LAAB”, which means “leaves” in the South Tyrolean dialect, unique products are created with the aim of using a material we normally consider waste. Through pure craftsmanship and a sustainable production, Miyuca creates exclusive pieces which bring autumn light into every home.

From leaves to products
The fallen leaves are collected and sorted according to colour and type and then mixed with biological resins. Through a special technique and reusable wooden moulds unique pieces are created.
Sustainability
& Slow Design
Miyuca respects the cycle of nature by waiting all year for the trees to release their precious material. No tree is harmed and only as many leaves are collected as necessary for production.

& exclusive
In fact LAAB can be used in a wide range of applications. The extraordinary feature of this new material is that light shine through unique textures.Colour and structure depend exclusively on the leaves used. The different colour and light nuances create a very individual, warm and inviting atmosphere.
